Busy Busy Busy!!!

Hey, sorry I haven't posted for a few days -- I've been super super busy over here! Since I had been working so hard on my online business stuff the last few weeks, I decided to take a little break from it all. When I wasn't teaching English, I've been rock climbing, hiking, biking, visiting Germany, and of course visiting some of my favorite bars and clubs. For those of you that don't know, I'm living in Basel, Switzerland. It's awesome because I'm about 15 minutes from BOTH the French and German border!

blogging is hard work!

This is my first blog... and wow is it time consuming. I'm sure it will be all worth it in the end, but it's a lot my work than I originally thought.

I've spent the last few hours ATTEMPTING to ping my blog and get it registered in blog search engines.

I'm doing everything I can to build some traffic. Anyone reading this is more than welcome to share suggestions and ideas to get this blog started, thanks in advance!

I'm about to make $200 for 30 minutes of work

So check this out. Here is how I'm about to make a cool two hundo for insanely little work: The best baseball team in the world...The Chicago Cubs (who just clinched their division -- GO CUBS all the way babyyyyy!) umm, anyway, as I was saying... Last week, Carlos Zambrano threw a no-hitter. This hasn't happened for the Cubs in decades.

On their website, cubs.com, I saw this special offer -- $20 for unused "souvenier" tickets from the no hit game. What a ripoff! I first thought to myself... then slowly, it dawned on me... I wonder what people are paying for these on eBay. A quick check showed that they were selling for $40 each!!! I immediately bought 10 tickets. wham-bam-thankyou ma'm.

so here's the time breakdown:

checking price of tix on eBay: 2 min

taking a photo and loading it on computer: 5 min

listing item on eBay: 10 min

shipping item after sold: 20 min

okay, so that's 37 minutes... but still, not bad for $200!!

how you can save $$ hundreds $$ /month

Here's an article from my newsletter. I give step-by-step instructions for how I personally save hundreds of dollars a month. It's simple and works like a charm:

#1 –Step-by-Step How to Save Money + Tips

I could talk about this for days, and I could easily write a book about it…hmm, there’s an idea…. For now, here is a short, step-by-step guide to saving money and some tips at the end.

a. Save ALL your receipts for one week. Hold on to everything, from the receipt for that 99 cent pack of gum to the receipt from the gas station.

b. Make a budget. This is how much you are currently spending. Worry about your future budget later. You can get a reasonably good idea of monthly expenses from one week. I recommend doing this on an Excel spreadsheet. Categorize each expense. For example, you will need a category for restaurants. If you spent $6 that week in McDonalds, $15 at Panera, and $33 at a fancy restaurant, you would put $54 for that week under the “Restaurants” category. Check out the budget I made for myself (for Switzerland) in an excel spreadsheet here. For monthly expenses like my $440 rent, I broke it down into a weekly expense ($110/week). You don’t even need to know how to use excel. You can simply edit my categories and replace them with your own categories. The “total/week” and “total/month” will automatically change for you.

c. Review your budget. I’m sure you can find ways to save. How many expenses can you cut down? Did you really need that extra $5 beer at the bar? That’s $20 a month right there…

d. Now subtract all the money that you plan on saving per week. Ex: I want to spend $5 less on candy/week, $15 less on groceries/week…etc.

e. Change your budget accordingly. Ex: after making the changes in step d., your candy budget will be $10/week instead of $15. Your grocery budget will be $50 instead of $65…etc. Congratulations, you now have a NEW BUDGET! Stick to this, and you will find yourself saving hundreds of dollars per month like magic!

first blog post!

Hey everyone, I just want to briefly introduce myself and give an overview of what this blog will cover.

My name is Jordan Sanders. I have been creating and running my own businesses for 7 years now. In addition, I've been an eBay Powerseller for the last 4 years. I'm not currently an eBay Powerseller because I've been super busy moving and getting settled in to my new home in Switzerland! For detailed info about my past business experience and just about me in general, you can check out my bio -- http://drboy77.com/AboutMe.aspx.

I'm creating this blog to supplement all the juicy info I reveal in my FREE newsletter. This info is all about how to make money, both online and offline. I will be revealing the exact same tips and tricks I've used to create wealth.

I will occasionally publish an article or select piece of news from my newsletter here. In general, my newsletter will contain different info -- so all you information junkies will benefit by reading both.

That's the general picture... I'm going hiking in the Swiss alps now. I'll post more in the next day or two. Ade (pronounced ah - day, it means goodbye in Swiss-German)
